Another Christmas Scrapbooking Page
I scraplifted the idea for these pages from a layout sketch I saw in Creating Keepsakes. I had cut it out to put in my sketch book for fresh ideas. The idea got me started and then I made the rest of the page my own. I used a plain dark red/burgundy color cardstock to get me started and then added the patterned paper I had from a christmas kit I had left over from last year. I really like it because it is kind of the red and green colors of Christmas with a twist of the darker red and more of a lime- colored green. I wasn’t sure about those two colors together, but I like the results now that it is finished. My Cricut came in handy with the All Mixed Up font for the title. I did my journaling on the computer and added that last. Looking at these pages, it’s hard to tell if the green strips are paper or ribbon, so if you don’t have the perfect matching ribbon for your project, consider cutting paper into “ribbon-like” strips for a ribbon look without running to the craft store.
