Don’t Forget to Scrap About You!

Published by kb1151 at 12:35 pm under general Edit This

So you are looking through some of your finished scrapbooks and see many pictures of your beautiful family and friends.  What’s missing?  Did you see yourself anywhere in there?  If you are like me, you do most, if not all of the picture taking in your family.  Somehow, (I know it is hard for me to understand too,) some people just do not think about taking pictures.  At our house it is even worse with the video camera…yes we bought it to capture moments, but here we are at a birthday party and I’m thinking about taking still pictures and then oh, man…where’s the video camera?  By the time he (the husband) gets it out–the batteries are usually dead and you miss a shining video moment.  I mean really, do I have to remember everything?

Now that you’ve let me ramble (thank you), don’t forget to pass the camera off to someone else or feel free, especially when you are looking your best to say, “Hey, take a picture of me and the kids before we go out tonight.”  At my house, I have a ten year old budding photographer and sometimes I have her take a picture of me and my husband when we look nice to go somewhere (doesn’t happen that often).  So I have a few pictures of myself.

My plan is to completely go out of my comfort zone and do a scrapbook about just me.  After all our hard scrapping work, we deserve this.  Of course I’ve only gotten as far as having a picture of me on my birthday developed, but it is waiting there for me.  What a better way for your kids to really get to know you then by looking at a scrapbook about you!
