Making Time to Scrap

Published by kb1151 at 12:07 pm under general Edit This

Now that we have realized we don’t have to scrap every single picture we take, we come to the issue of even having time to scrap at all.  Yes, it can be difficult to find the time (even more so with young kids in the house) but we can do it.  If you are really into scrapbooking like I am, you almost need to take that time or you are not very happy.  So now we need to look at our options:  Is it possible to go away for the evening or (wow) the weekend?  If it isn’t for you then maybe you aren’t taking enough time for yourself or you may need to do some negotiating with your spouse.  If you need some convincing, or he does, you can always say that you will be a better mom and wife if you get some time to yourself.  If you don’t take care of yourself first, then you won’t having much energy for those little cuties who sometimes manage to suck the life right out of us.

Another option is to set up your things and then set up an area by you for the “kid scrapbook table”.  This is where you will give them scraps you don’t need, stickers and leftover letters, glue sticks, markers or crayons, and child-safe scissors.  Let them go to town while you do a page or two.  If they want to be like mommy, give them a few photos you aren’t using(because you don’t need to use them all) and let them go nuts.  You will be surprised to find that they have their own little creative side too.  Just like you.
