Overwhelmed? You Don’t Have to Scrap ALL of Your Photos!!
Are you feeling overwhelmed by the pile of photos waiting for you to scrap them? I hear a lot of friends talking about getting “caught up” when we mention working on pictures. I once felt the same impending doom over my head as I take many pictures throughout the year. I bought the book “Clean & Simple Scrapbooking” by Cathy Zielske a few years ago, and my perspective began to change. She said “you don’t have to scrap every picture you take.” Now that statement just took a load off of my scrapbooking back. I think somewhere we think just because we take pictures they all need to end up in our scrapbooks. Unless you take very few pictures, I’m not sure if it is humanly possible. Maybe you could wait until the kids have left home or you retire, but let’s get realistic and at the same time feel good about what we do get accomplished with our pictures. Pick those moments that speak to you or really show the personality of your kids. You know what? The others will be okay if they just sit in a photo box or we put them in a “regular” photo album and write down a sentiment or too. The best thing for your creativity is a stress-free scrapbooker. Let some of those photos go.
